Riad Dar Thania - Marrakech -

A wonderful week with my family in Marrakech, thanks to Momo, Amina, and Ludovic.

The riad is gorgeous - every detail is taken care of. The staff are beyond compare. We wanted a cooking lesson? Lovely, Amina would be happy to do that. We wanted a really great leather jacket? Momo knew where to go.

We were so well taken care of, I hated to come home and take care of myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hemos pasado 4 noches en este lindo riad de sólo 3 habitaciones. La primera noche nos recibió Momo, el encargado del riad, con su amplia sonrisa, que no perdió durante toda nuestra estancia. Encargamos cena en la primera noche y en la última, y ambas fueron deliciosas, además acompañadas de vino. Los desayunos también estupendos y variados (zumo de naranja natural, macedonia de fruta fresca o yogur, pan tostado, crepes bereberes...).

El riad es discreto y elegante. Las habitaciones, sobrias pero con detalles decorativos de muy buen gusto y con camas muy cómodas. El baño, amplio, con un diseño muy bonito, aunque el agua caliente a veces se perdía, para recuperarse de nuevo a los pocos segundos.

Momo nos colmó de atenciones y, pese a nuestro desconocimiento del francés, no hubo problemas de comunicación, por sus nociones de inglés y español (de hecho se acaba de matricular en el Instituto Cervantes).

Of all the riads and hotels we stayed in Morocco, this was the absolute best. The location could not be better to explore Marrakesh, but first and foremost, it's the decoration and absolute beauty of the place that will stay with you. The riad is simply gorgeous. The inner courtyard, the furniture, the paintings, the colors...You can see this riad renovation was a real labor of love. Every detail was thought of. It's very clean, very peaceful and beautiful and the Moroccan architectural and decorative details authentic. The delicious Moroccan breakfasts on the sunny terrace overlooking the city are amongst my favorite memories of Morocco.
Momo was an amazingly thoughtful host, always ready to help and very informative, but never intrusive. One night, we ordered a home-cooked dinner at the riad and this was really an amazing experience and evening.
We stayed at several other riads on our 2 weeks trip and I have to say this was the best find. Especially for the price, which is way bel

Merci pour la magnifique réception dans le Riad. Nous avons aimé l'emplacement, la “cuisine” d'Amina, le chat et surtout l'excellent diner avec la “societé française de Riads"
Nous allons sûrement revenir.

Thank you for the great time in Dar Thania, our home away from home. Marrakech was a great experience and dar Thania was a oasis in the city! We will come back for sure!
